With a little help, I started a fitness plan that suited my life and goals. Some keys to successfully developing a personal fitness plan are:

  • Stay focused.
  • Eat well.
  • Get enough rest.

Getting Started

I like to greet this time not as a chore, but as a way to increase happiness, heighten quality of life, and indulge myself with activities that many times I don't make time for.

    Step One
  • Decide your health targets and write them down. Here is where we list our ideal fitness level, the exercise we'd like to include in our regimen, the foods we'll include in our diet, and our goal amount of rest.
  • Step Two

  • Pick your partner. Whether it's a friend, spouse, co-worker, or family member, it is essential to involve another person when developing a personal fitness plan. You'll become pillars of support for each other as you embark toward bettering yourselves.
  • Step Three

  • Get to it! Start implementing the changes you planned out in Step One. Don't get discouraged if it's difficult at first; studies show that it takes us 21 days to develop a routine habit, so stick with it.
